Correspondence
Planning training – information on training re. planning issues, from
Friends of the Earth, was passed to Berwyn.
Planning Aid for Scotland –in response to their correspondence, it was
felt that although initially helpful, the publication had a central belt bias
and the subscription should not be renewed.
Matters Arising
OFCOM – a response had been received,
acknowledging that transition and costs involved were the main
concerns. Guidance notes were due out in the summer of 2007,
with advice on what to check, alternatives on receiving digital
TV, the costs involved and the timelines for the procedure. It
was agreed that nothing further be done until these notes are
received.
Ratagan Pool – Helen Robertson had been
in touch to confirm that some money had been forthcoming from
Highland Council as well as donations from Kintail Lodge quiz
night etc. Once all donations had been received they would confirm
what the shortfall for repairs amounted too and the community
council would then decide what to contribute.
Golden Wedding – a cheque for Mr & Mrs
Murdie MacRae was passed to Marina for handing on as soon as
possible.
Scottish Water – Sue Neald had been e-mailed
to invite her to the June meeting, as yet no response had been
received.
AOB
Police – Marina had spoken to the Police
at Kyle about one of them attending the May meeting. After discussion,
it was agreed that the issues to be raised would include:-
- The regular breaking of the speed limit through Inverinate.
- Out of Hour response times in rural areas
- Travelling people – what are their rights?
- Possible closing of causeway in high winds
- Housing of those on sex offenders register
Website – www.aroundtheloch.co.uk
Liz had done a lot of work on the website. Businesses were to be given the
opportunity to pay for entries on the site. A form for businesses to complete
would be made available, with posters to be put up in the shops etc. More work
was required chasing up folks to proved info. for the other pages on the site.
This would need to discussed and delegated at a future meeting.
Notice boards –had not yet arrived but
Donald would chase up.
Skips – skips had been ordered for Glebe
Road and Morvich, as requested.
Next meeting – 17th May 2007, 8pm,
Inverinate Community Centre
